The 44th round of the IWA OutdoorClassics closed with new records for all KPIs after a four-day event from 3 to 6 March 2017. This year was the first time that the leading international exhibition for hunting and shooting sports, outdoor equipment and civilian and official security needs registered more than 1,500 exhibitors in a display area of over 100,000 square meters, as well as over 49,000 trade visitors.
44th IWA OutdoorClassics gets under way with new exhibitor record and extensive supporting programme
The IWA OutdoorClassics enters its 44th year with a new record of 1,515 exhibitors. Eight out of ten exhibiting companies and around two-thirds of trade visitors come from countries other than Germany, which makes the event one of the most international fairs at the Nuremberg exhibition venue year after year. The leading international exhibition for hunting and shooting sports, outdoor equipment and civilian and official security needs will be opened on Friday 3 March 2017 by the Bavarian Minister for the Interior, Joachim Herrmann.
In conjunction with the IWA OutdoorClassics, JSM, the German Firearms and Ammunition Manufacturers Association, has announced that according to provisional production figures from the Federal Bureau of Statistics, German manufacturers produced hunting and target sports firearms and associated parts to the value of around EUR 185 million. This amount corresponds to the production value for 2015.
