Economic: Fostering Innovation and Opportunities

As a driver of innovation and engine for economic growth, IWA serves as a central meeting point for the industry. By facilitating the exchange of sustainable solutions and materials, the event promotes responsible entrepreneurship within the sector. Special areas such as IWA Vision provide a stage for forward-looking ideas, innovative products, and industry trends. Newcomers and start-ups in the Newcomer Area deliver fresh impetus that secures the long-term vitality of the industry.

Ecological: Responsible Use of Resources

IWA itself relies on digital innovations and a conscious approach to resources to reduce its ecological footprint. The Digital Guide and other digital communication measures minimize the need for printed materials. Where print products are necessary, environmentally friendly, recycled materials are used. Through these measures, IWA demonstrates its sense of responsibility—both at the exhibition and throughout the entire sector.

Social: Diversity, Equality, and Talent

Social sustainability is at the heart of IWA – with a commitment to equality, equal opportunities, and cultural diversity. This is reflected, for example, in the support of women in hunting, the inclusion of Paralympic sports, and a balanced representation of speakers and topics in the supporting programme. The IWA Talent Programme specifically targets schools and universities, thereby promoting the next generation in the industry.

Sustainable Event Management

We continuously improve the footprint of our services. To achieve this, we invest in our facilities and collaborate with service partners who share our values regarding the environment and society. Together, we create offerings and design our events to be a responsible experience – from resource-saving stand construction solutions to catering with local food, reusable dishes, and recycling systems. With our charging stations for electric cars and other measures, we support sustainable travel.
