Register now for the IWA Knife Award 2024 "Between tradition and innovation" and special category!

All exhibitors confirmed by NürnbergMesse for IWA OutdoorClassics 2024 with the specified nomenclature "blade" can participate. They can submit knives of all types. Participation in the IWA Knife Award 2024 is free of charge.

You can submit one of your knives in either the category “Innovation” of IWA 2024 OR the category “Classic” of IWA 2024.

Note: You can submit different knives per category. (Please note that a knife model may not be submitted for both categories at the same time.)

Special category 2024: THE knife out of 50 years (special presentation, visitor voting). In 2024, IWA Outdoor Classics will celebrate its 50th anniversary. All knives from 1974 to 2024 can be submitted here.

Several different entries per company/brand are possible here, but not the same knife in the above categories.

Products admitted to the award will be exhibited in secured showcases for the entire duration of the trade show for jury review and visitor presentation. Likewise, the special category/product presentation "THE knife out of 50 years of IWA" (visitor voting) will be on display. For these on-site presentations, the exhibits must be delivered to the Schenker shipping company by 20.02.2024.

Late deliveries, deliveries lost in the mail or deliveries without indication of the intended use are not eligible for participation.

If the product is not submitted by 20.02.2024, participation in the IWA Knife Award 2024 is no longer possible. Participants are responsible for compliance with customs and other legal regulations. The exhibition area will be guarded at night. This safeguarding does not affect the liability regulation stipulated in item 19 of the General Conditions of Participation for Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.

Products will be returned on the last day of the trade fair (3.3.2024) in the above-mentioned area from 3 - 4 p.m. against confirmation of receipt. Products not collected will not be shipped back.

An independent jury of experts will make a pre-selection for the presentation on site based on the submitted documents (text and photo/graphics). The winner per category will then be selected from these exhibits on site and by means of the criteria catalog with a points system. All preselected exhibits will be presented by the host as part of the stage program during the trade fair.

The expert jury has the option of awarding a special prize for outstanding submissions, the "Special Jury Prize", if applicable.In addition, visitors to IWA OutdoorClassics will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite "THE knife out of 50 years" on site using digital voting.

The award ceremony will take place at the BLADE Demo Area on Saturday, 2.3.2024, 4 pm. Participants are kindly requested to be there on time. All participants will receive their participation certificate on stage. The winner per category will receive a professional winning film in addition to the winner's certificate. A professional film team on site will produce a film clip about the winner per category and make it available to the winner for his or her use.

All participants receive the greatest possible media attention through the communication measures of NürnbergMesse GmbH.

All products submitted can be published as part of NürnbergMesse's communication. However, there is no entitlement to publication. By participating in the competition, each participant agrees to his/her name and company being mentioned. Each participant grants NürnbergMesse the right free of charge to use their submitted data and contents (e.g. photos, graphics, descriptions, etc.) for the purpose of this competition, for presentation in the relevant media and for reporting on the IWA Knife Award in all media. The competition participants assure that they are entitled to provide the submitted contents, data and documents in accordance with these competition conditions. The participants release NürnbergMesse from all claims made by third parties in connection with the products submitted for the competition, including the costs of legal defense.

The right of appeal is excluded.

The deadline for submissions is January 21, 2024 (CET); pieces received after this date will not be admitted to the competition.
