Ballistol completes gun care range with brushes for mechanical cleaning
New in the range: cleaning brush, chamber brush and oil brush
Opinions differ as to whether chemical cleaning with felts or mechanical cleaning with brushes is the method of choice. But regardless of which form of gun cleaning is chosen: both forms have their justification. BALLISTOL had previously specialised in chemical cleaning with its products, but is now launching three types of brushes on the market and expanding its already extensive range of gun care products.
For the new brushes, too, the developers' top priority was to offer the same high quality as the Ballistol cleaning sticks. For this reason, particular attention was paid to the appropriate density of the bristles for the high-quality cleaning, chamber and oil brushes for all common calibres.
Of course, the three brushes are also compatible with Ballistol cleaning rods (M5 thread). For customers who do not yet have a Ballistol cleaning rod, Ballistol has thread adapters from the most popular cleaning rod suppliers in its range.
As the bronze bristles of the new cleaning brushes are particularly densely incorporated, they have a high cleaning performance and an extremely long service life. Bronze is also used for the chamber brush. Only the diameter has been adapted to the cartridge chamber. Cleaning the chamber is often neglected, especially in the hunting sector. A mistake - because if the chamber is dirty, this can have a considerable effect on the accuracy of the shot.
The oil brushes are used for both cleaning and preservation. They gently distribute the desired product in the barrel. Ballistol has opted for pure natural bristles for the oil brushes. In the interests of sustainability, the decision was made to use pig bristles instead of standard nylon bristles.
