Baby Magnum / Magnum

It is the result of extensive studies to come up with a powerful cartridge for longest-range shooting thanks to the best combination of its components: a 35 gram lead charge, considered as Magnum with good reason, a container wad with considerable volume capacity, and a special propellant exclusively developed for this cartridge and not available commercially.

The whole is placed in a 70 mm case which allows use with 70 chamber shotguns, as long as they have been succesfully undergone a limit test of 1370 bars.

F2 Hunting Line

Only cartridge available from B&P in this gauge, which unfortunately has almost disappeared in Europe.

Our efforts were aimed at obtaining a sophisticated product in the F2 line, characterized by an average charge of 29g in a 67mm case to meet the demanding requirements of those who still own gauge 16 shotguns with chambers of at least 65 mm.

This cartridge is available in different shot diameters to adjust to different needs and hunting situations.

Powders

Laminar-structure powders: nitrocellulose, modified nitrocellulose, and double-base. Chemical composition, gravimetric density, and burning rate of combustion, suitable for the widest variety of chargings for smoothbore cartridges to assure superior ballistic performance.

Traditional Hunting Line

Similar to AL, but with an essential change introduced in 1998, i. e. wads without plastic containers which means an extra help for shooters when it comes to short and medium range shots thanks to a more massive bullet group than a traditional cartridge with container wad.

Because of these characteristics, we recommend to use this cartridge with 3-star general purpose punched barrel shotguns for (quail) hunting with setters and small bird hunting by bird-call (skylarks, starlings etc).

Wads

Baschieri & Pellagri is one of the world's most important producers of wads. It began producing plastic wads over 30 years ago, complementing its production of gunpowder, cartridge cases and cartridges to offer a full range of components for smoothbore cartridges.

The functional importance of the wad is often overlooked, forgetting that it is precisely this component that receives the energy released upon combustion of the powder and transmits it to the shot. Highly sophisticated molding techniques and systems are used to satisfy all loading requirements for both lead and steel shot, guaranteeing superior performance under all conditions in caliber 12, 16 and 20. First-class materials with appropriate strength are used for every product.
