The Chaparral Lightweight is the most user-oriented member of Spyderco’s unique Chaparral series of gentlemen’s folding knives, which showcases unique handle materials in the same design format. Its tough fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales minimize the knife’s overall weight, while offering the non-slip security of a deeply molded Bi-Directional Texture pattern. Spyderco’s Stretch 2 XL Lightweight is the result of more than three decades of evolution that began with their classic folding hunting knife designs. Through years of relentless refinement, they arrived at a full-sized, full-service cutting tool that is incredibly lightweight and easy to carry. Now they have taken that evolution a step further by crafting that design with ultra-corrosion-resistant materials to make it a member of their elite Salt® Series of knives. Tipping the scales at a mere 3.0 ounces (84 grams), the Stretch 2 XL Lightweight Salt showcases a 3.99-inch (101mm) blade crafted from H-2 austenitic steel. Available in a choice of PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge formats, the hollow-ground blade is supported by a sturdy back lock mechanism housed in a lightweight fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle.
