Like an inseparable friend, shields were the protection warriors used in battle. As important as brandishing a sword was to protect oneself from the enemy's blows. The first shields were made of leather with bronze pieces, later they were made of wood and iron.

Art Gladius brings to you, as vanguard of historical design, the most significant shields in history.

The Roman Empire was one of the greatest empires in the ancient history. The Roman Legion were famous because of his war tactics and his weapons, the soldiers used the long sword called Gladius, and also they used a small dagger.
Art Gadlius brings this Roman Dagger, a classic design including engravings over the pommel and hilt about war scenes. Also we include a blade etched with griffins drawings.

From the ancient times the soliders always tried to protect their body, for hunting as well as war fighting. Egyptians, Greeks and Roman protected their body with leather, metal rings and plates, but the big developing in the armours starts in the XIV century and reach the maximum splendour in the XVI centuries along the Charles the Fifth and Philip the Second kingdoms.

Art Gladius brings this Templar armour, including the templar cross, as a tribute to the Templar Knights.

The Order of Solomon's Temple, Knights Templar was founded in 1119 with the main target of watching, protecting and taking care of the pilgrims going to Jerusalem, they wear white mantle with a red cross in the chest and their motto was "Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini tuo da gloriam" (Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory). The Knights Templar become one of the most powerful Catholic religius order and their kinghts were very well skilled warriors.

Art Gladius brings to you this sword designed based on the main symbols from the Templar order, the double knights riding a single horse we included in the middle of the cross guard, together with the Four Evangelists. Inside the pommel you can find "Sigilum Militum Templi Xpisti", Seal of the soldiers of Christ.
