YAKUPOGLU A.S. (YDS)

YAKUPOĞLU was established in 1927 as a small entity and the company has been growing very fast day by day. Today production is going on in two factories located on the way to Ankara Esenboğa airport and having a total of 130.000 m² area of which 70.000 m² is closed area. 20 engineers and more than 1000 workers are employed within these facilities. Yakupoglu has TS-ISO-EN-9001 Quality Assurance Certificate and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate.

PRODUCTS - CAPACITY

We can classify our products in three main groups which are; footwear & textiles, garments and equipment and tents.

1. Footwear

We manufacture various types of footwear mainly for Armed Forces, Security Departments and Fire brigades. In addition there are two other divisions within our production which are safety footwear for the use of workers and civilian footwear for the use of daily wear. The products are manufactured in accordance with international standards such as NATO and EU standards and Directives.  All our products bear the CE mark which displays the type of product as well as the standard it complies to. Our main products are:

• Winter and summer boots for harsh climates,
• Winter and summer shoes of various styles,
• Special waterproof and breathable boots,
• Desert boots,
• Overboots for snow
• Motorcycle footwear,
• Sports footwear,
• Mine protective footwear
• Safety footwear with steel toe and steel insole,
• Boots for fire brigades,

The footwear’s are developed, designed and produced according to customer requirements, environmental conditions and the climate.

There are many different technologies used in making the sole of the footwear. We believe the best technology is the Dual Density Rubber Injection Technology. This technology due to its complexity cannot be used by all manufacturers but at Yakupoglu this technology is in place. It provides high durability for long lasting harsh wear conditions. It’s sponge-like mid layer which not only provides the wearer with the cushioning and comfort and flexibility but also make it lighter in weight. It provides the best combination of insulation against hot and cold conditions and heat resistance up to 300°C.

We have 3 Desma 30 stationed CNC dual density  rubber sole and 5 Desma pu/pu, pu/tpu & pu/rubber sole direct injection machines equipped with robots.

2. Textiles-garments

We manufacture uniforms, protective garments and so forth mainly for Armed Forces and Security Departments. Our main products are:

• Various uniforms,
• Cold weather garments made from waterproof, breathable  membrane laminated special fabrics,
• Fire retardant coveralls for pilots,
• Protective suit,
• Poncho and rainsuit,
• Uniforms, parka and other garments for police,
• Leather gloves,
• Cold weather gloves.

3. Equipment

Our products are as follows:

• Sleeping bags,
• Various bags (sports bag, backpack with frame, carrying bags, etc),
• Ammunution vests,
• Ballistic protective vests,
• Various tents (cold weather tents with isolation, portable tent for two persons, kitchen tent, general purpose tent, etc),
• Campbed (cot),
• Rubber goggles for sun and snow,
• Holsters, pistol belts,

QUALITY CONTROL

We have an established quality control laboratory in our factory which is certified and accredited by Turkish Accreditation Agency as well as SATRA which is an Approved Notified Body for Footwear Technologies in England.

Our test can be considered at three stage. First stage is the tests for raw materials such as leather, rubber and textiles.Second stage is the tests for semi finished products.The third stage is the tests for finished products

We also hold the manufacturer certificate for Gore-tex products.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

We have two research and development departments in our factory one being for footwear and other for textiles and equipment. We design and develop our products to meet the customer requirements in parallel with technological innovations whilst considering health, comfort and durability issues.
