The caliber 300 Blackout (also 300 BLK or 7.62 mm x 35, compatible with 300 Whisper) has been discussed by many law enforcement authorities and shooters for some time because of its extreme flexibility. The family owned and operated company Hornady is introducing 2 new non-lead rifle bullets for hunting. The latest ballistic findings from the development of the ELD- and A-Tip bullets have been incorporated into the new CX. This makes it the most advanced monolithic expanding bullet on the market. The proven copper alloy was retained but improved with the HeatShield tip and aerodynamically optimized groove geometry, leads to less loss of speed in flight and thus to higher impact speed and performance in the target. The CX bullets, which replaces the GMX bullet, are now also listed in the advanced Hornady 4DOF ballistics app, which does not work with BC values ​​as usual, but with the actual trajectory measured by Doppler Radar. CX bullets are available from caliber 223 Rem. up to 375 H&H, is factory loaded in the proven ammunition lines Superformance (30-60 m/s faster) and Outfitter (waterproof sealed, nickel-plated case) and of course also as a reloading component.
