The Byrna SD XL (Self Defense) is the successor of the Byrna HD. It has been redesigned for optimal performance. Powered by compressed air (12g CO2), the Byrna SD XL fires kinetic and/or chemical irritant .68 caliber projectiles that can incapacitate a threat from up to 60 feet away. It is an incredibly powerful and non-lethal self-defense weapon. The Byrna SD XL is not classified as a firearm and therefore does not require a licence or background check to possess.
