Hausmann exclusivity: side lever hunting rifle

Our side lever hunting rifle is the first weapon in our side lever family manufactured exclusively on our premises.

With the newly designed side lever lock, the release lever can be dispensed with as with an ordinary hunting rifle. The advantage: an extremely round, and above all lightweight design is achieved.

Since the vertical key shaft is eliminated, and the firing pin thereby lies exactly on the bore axis, a very smooth spring clip can be installed into the manual cocking system. The extremely slim system ends in a very elegant and shapely side lever that takes over the task of the key usually placed on top.

Because attention now no longer needs to be paid to key access, the rifle scope can be mounted very low, enabling a very fast and ergonomic attack.

A fine nutwood mounting tailored to the customer is being made.

Hausmann & Co GmbH views 'the weapon as artwork'. Extraordinarily exclusive hunting weapons are crafted in Ferlach with exacting manual labour. The customer stands at the very focus. The weapon is jointly planned.

'Our weapons generally don't distinguish themselves through slimmer and more elegant design, but arise from the customer's personal wishes and conceptions. Here we commit ourselves to the details most meticulously,' emphasizes Christian Hausmann, who co-founded Hausmann & Co GmbH with Georg Heim and Florian Mutenthaler. For many years a passion for the manual production of luxury weapons has bonded the trio, two gunsmiths and an engraver. Since 2011 they've been creating exclusive hunting weapons under the manufacturing business's common roof in Ferlach.

It takes an average of six hundred working hours to create a Hausmann gun. Hausmann & Co is paying particular attention to the new theme guns: Superior Guns. The first model is called 'Leopard’s Journey'. It's a slim, elegant double-barrelled rifle of the extra class with elaborately hidden side-lock construction. Much effort has been expended to keep the screws concealed on both sides. This provides ample space for impressive engravings, which in turn provides customers with maximum individuality and exclusivity.
