Silencers

At IWA 2017, RECKNAGEL presented its first telescope suppressor: the ERA^®-Silencer of the series SOB1, which has a total length of 235 mm, but extends the weapon by only 145 mm. The weapon remains compact and balanced due to the low weight of only 390 g and facilitates an excellent sound reduction of about 32 dB (measured in cal. .308Win.). The silencer can be taken apart and as various insert nuts are available, the silencer can be used on multiple firearms of the same caliber, but with different muzzle threads.

Just one year later, the next generation of silencers was introduced –  the series SOB2. This suppressor goes even further back over the barrel, resulting in an extension of only 10 cm. This allows for a better control of the firearm and a better balance, with an almost identical sound reduction!

Since 2019, the ERA^®Loc quick fastener has been available for quickly mounting and dismounting the silencer with just a 60° turn. The ERA^®Silencers SOB 1 and SOB 2 have also been offered in caliber 6.5 mm.

In 2020, two more ERA-Silencer models are being presented:

• SOB 2S: A hybrid silencer with the baffle component made from hardened and tempered steel and a reinforced outer wall. These features make the silencer extremely robust, durable and suited for shooting galleries.

• SOB 3D: Just 165 mm short and 326 g light, this telescopic suppressor with integrated stainless steel mesh facilitates an excellent suppression of up to 31 dB (in .308 Win.) and completely eliminates the first round pop.

Furthermore, a Silencer Protective Sleeve is now available in 2 sizes. Made by Niggeloh from high-quality elastic neoprene, this sleeve helps protect the silencer from damage, as well as increases the silencer’s suppression ratio.
