Company History

The history of the Chiappa Group began in 1958, when Ezechiele (Oscar) Chiappa opened his company and called it Armi Sport. Initially an artisanal workshop, the company has grown over the years to become an industrial group, still wholly owned by Chiappa family.

CHIAPPA GROUP is made of separate divisions including Chiappa Firearms Srl. (main production – pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, located Brescia, Italy), Chiappa Firearms USA Ltd. (main distribution company in USA, production, located Dayton, Ohio), Charles Daly (pistols, rifles, shotguns brand), FAS (air guns brand), Kimar (blank guns brand), Ares Distribution (main distribution company in Italy, Europe and rest of the world, located Forli, Italy), ACP (Laser Training System, located Brescia, Italy) and Costa (Metal surface treatment, located Brescia, Italy). The Chiappa Group manufactures a wide range of firearm models for many different market segments. Current models include replicas of American historic weapons and muzzleloaders, classic lever action shotguns and rifles, modern semi auto pistols and rifles, alarm guns, air guns and the most innovative revolver on the market, the Chiappa Rhino.
