The new Walther match air pistol makes its debut at the IWA

A gun with a million different options: The modular system of the Walther LP500 is almost infinitely variable. Moreover, thanks to innovative manufacturing technologies and strict quality controls, this is a gun that is engineered to perfection. Visitors to Walther’s stand at the IWA in Nuremberg will have a chance to see for themselves. Here the LP500 will make its first official appearance.

The modular system lets you choose between a precisely adjustable mechanical trigger and an innovative electronic trigger. In addition, there are 18 different grip and color variants to choose from, including an infinitely adjustable 5D grip. Its volume can be changed by means of three screws to make it fit your hand perfectly. Other highlights include a light, vibration-damping cylinder made of aluminum-carbon composite and an ingenious breech design for faster and easier loading.

Founded in 1886 in Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia, the Carl Walther company today is known for large-caliber pistols used by police and other law enforcement authorities. Additionally, it makes high-quality sporting arms. In both of these areas it can look back on a tradition of excellent arms production going back more than 130 years. Legendary handguns bearing the famous WALTHER ribbon logo include the Walther PPK (favored by Agent 007 James Bond), the P38/P1 pistol of the German army and the well-known P99 and PPQ, all of which have large fan communities throughout the world. In 1993 the company was acquired by the UMAREX Group, which is based in Arnsberg, Germany. Carl Walther manufactures most of its weapons in the factory which it established in 2005 in Ulm, and it has its headquarters together with its parent company Umarex in Arnsberg. A U.S. subsidiary, Walther Arms, was founded in Fort Smith, Arkansas, in 2013. In 2016 the company celebrated its 130th anniversary.
