This collection uses the finest 100% pure new wool, woven in Scotland to produce a soft, high-grade tweed of the quality designed originally for bespoke suits and overcoats. The tweed is laminated with natural rubber to provide 100% waterproofing, greater weight and increased durability.

The Helmsley Tweed collection has vegetable-tanned bridle leather straps and trims along with solid brass hardware and cotton webbings; it carries hand-stitched detail throughout. These stylish bags are as at home in the town or city as they are walking on the moors or out in the field.

Our Helmsley netted carryall has a good-sized main compartment, a full-width rear pocket and a large netted pocket on the front. The cotton webbing shoulder strap is fully adjustable and is a comfortable 2" wide. Access to the bag is through either the solid brass buckles or the quick-release brass studs.

You probably already know us as AC Supplies, because under that name, over the past 30 years, we have been making authentic canvas and leather shooting bags and other leisure accessories in our North Yorkshire workshops.

During this time, our reputation has gone from strength to strength but now, as we embark on a new decade, we are renaming our exclusive range of products, all still handmade in England, to make them easily identifiable to our customers.

The new name is Croots England –a name which we believe embodies our values of traditional, English, handmade craftsmanship.

In addition to our exclusive handmade ranges, we will continue to supply economy gunslips, bags, shooting vests, pigeon decoy equipment and a whole range of shooting accessories to suit your every need. These will be sold through our AC brand.

There is growing interest in our authentic English products and the aim is to continually develop Croots’ handmade ranges to cater for future demand.
