These products are made from natural vegetable-tanned leather with a semi-aniline and greased grain to give a superb finish. All our bridle leathers are traditionally tanned using techniques passed down through the generations.

Each carefully-selected skin is hand-cured and stained by extremely skilled craftsmen, producing the smooth aniline finish.

Finally, the wax finish is applied. This age-old blend of fats, oils and waxes feeds the leather adding a deep layer of protection and giving a very distinctive look.

Leather shotgun slip with a traditional flap and buckle opening plus the additional feature of a full-length zip, allowing for easy drying. Bridle Leather shoulder sling, hand-sewn blocked muzzle end and a padded fleece lining are standard features.

You probably already know us as AC Supplies, because under that name, over the past 30 years, we have been making authentic canvas and leather shooting bags and other leisure accessories in our North Yorkshire workshops.

During this time, our reputation has gone from strength to strength but now, as we embark on a new decade, we are renaming our exclusive range of products, all still handmade in England, to make them easily identifiable to our customers.

The new name is Croots England –a name which we believe embodies our values of traditional, English, handmade craftsmanship.

In addition to our exclusive handmade ranges, we will continue to supply economy gunslips, bags, shooting vests, pigeon decoy equipment and a whole range of shooting accessories to suit your every need. These will be sold through our AC brand.

There is growing interest in our authentic English products and the aim is to continually develop Croots’ handmade ranges to cater for future demand.
