The choice of the Byrna by these professionals was driven by the ability to stop one or more individuals using chemical projectiles, whereas the hard, plastic or rubber projectiles of other types of launchers hurt, but more importantly, increased the aggressiveness of the attackers without stopping them. Following its success with professionals, the new version of the SD model now offers a new grip design, new sights and an optimised trigger tail. Fuelled by an 8g CO2 cartridge, the Byrna SD fires .68 calibre chemical irritant/incapacitating projectiles developed to slow down or neutralise a threat up to 20 metres away, but can also fire Kinetic (Hard Polymer) or Eco-Kinetic projectiles for training or defence. The 8g CO2 cartridge allows the firing of 4 magazines of 5 rounds each. The Byrna SD is an incredibly powerful and effective low lethality defensive weapon. 

The Byrna SD XL (Self Defense) is the successor of the Byrna HD. It has been redesigned for optimal performance. Powered by compressed air (12g CO2), the Byrna SD XL fires kinetic and/or chemical irritant .68 caliber projectiles that can incapacitate a threat from up to 60 feet away. It is an incredibly powerful and non-lethal self-defense weapon. The Byrna SD XL is not classified as a firearm and therefore does not require a licence or background check to possess. You must be 18 years or older to purchase it.

Byrna's 'Mission 4' is a projectile launcher with two 19-round magazines, a 200-round hopper and a 13cu inch HPA tank. It has an M-LOK coating, a front grip and a flip-up sight for 66ft/20m point accuracy. It is powered by a patented Cyclone air system that eliminates the risk of jams. It is powerful with a velocity of 285-330 fps and kinetic energy of 13-22 joules, and can shoot over 125 times per tank fill.

The Byrna brand has recently introduced a new product to the market: the Tactical Compact Rifle or TCR. Designed to be a versatile and reliable magnetic magazine launcher for home defence and recreational use. The TCR features a compact, military design with a realistic look and is easily customizable/upgradable with four standard Picatinny rails. It is a high-performance launcher that features folding front and rear sights, a vertical front grip and a high-performance 11-inch barrel for improved accuracy. The TCR comes with extended 7 and 12 round magazines, allowing a large magazine capacity for extended use, and a fully padded carrying case to protect your weapon during transport

Byrna's line of projectiles includes several options to meet various personal defense needs. Chemical irritant/incapacitating projectiles are designed to slow down or neutralize a threat from up to 20 meters away. Hard polymer projectiles are called Kinetic and can be used for effective defense, while Eco-Kinetic projectiles are designed for training.
