Sport Target Pistol – A shot of passion

In the early 80´s founder Karl Prommersberger did already know about the great potential of German Mastergunsmiths. Within a decade he developed a sustainable business in small arms sporting goods.

The year 2016 brought the well improve own production facility to the company. STP does deliver tight groups Made in Germany. Handfit together with modern CNC-mashinery guns get suited to special sport requirents.

Today - some 120 years after the first shot was fired from a 1911 pistol - the sustainable production of 1911 & 2011 pistols forms the heart of Prommersberger Büchsenmacherei. The optimal interaction of state-of-the-art CNC machine technology and traditional gunsmithing craftsmanship results in match pistols of the highest quality. Since the beginning of 2021, all barrels are also manufactured in-house on an 8-axis turning and milling center of the latest design with only two setups.

STP sporting pistols are manufactured for various sports and are therefore represented in around 30 countries worldwide.

At IWA 2018, the first idea of a new pistol series for 2011 was developed together with the industrial design company Target Design. After a short development and production period, the 3 new pistols were launched on the market in spring 2021 and inspire the sport shooter with ideal ergometry and best shooting results.
