The Tanfoglio production has its origins in the defence area, both private and professional, the company's commitment for research and development applied to produce these kind of models is constant and continuous.
Besides the production of models made entirely of steel, it has grown and consolidated the manufacture of models with frame made in techno-polymer: a kind of special high-strength plastic material that gives lightness to the pistol, that is an useful feature for the port continued, and the shape of the polymer frame is ergonomic and ensures an excellent grip.
For defence models the safety system has been studied with accuracy and Tanfoglio has implemented several safety control systems: “cocked and locked” safety mounted on the frame (F VERSION), ambidextrous firing pin safety mounted on the slide that works as a hammer decocker (R VERSION) and all models has automatic firing pin safety.
Even the size is important for defence pistols: so Tanfoglio offers size variants of slide, barrel and slide length to cover the different grip needs (Full size, Carry, Compact), that depend on hand size, and to change the overall pistols dimensions, that influence the port.
Beside the self and professional defence pistols production that includes the use of the latest generation of special plastic material, Tanfoglio maintains the offer of models for defence use entirely made of steel, which represent a solid, reliable and traditional choice.

Combat model and its fully compact size variant Combat Compact are available with “cocked and locked” safety mounted on the frame (F version), or ambidextrous firing pin safety mounted on the slide that works as a hammer decocker (R VERSION) while automatic firing pin safety is a constant feature ever-present all models.
Witness 1911 and Witness 1911 Carry complete the STEEL series: they areTanfoglio versions of the classic 1911, proposed in two different calibers (.45ACP and 9) and in two different sizes: full size or carry size, the first with standard sizes, the second one with full size frame and magazine but with shorter barrel and slide.

TANFOGLIO XTREME-The Xtreme project was born by the hystorical  cooperation between Tanfoglio and six times IPSC world champion Eric Grauffel, who designed parts and accessories for Tanfoglio sport pistols and revisited five historical models of the Sport & Competition line,  proposing  them with a personal configuration ... a champion one, as he is.
Xtreme is synonymous with excellence, extreme performance, high quality, personality, strength, precision, accuracy and robustness, speed, the pursuit of perfection.

TANFOGLIO EXPERT.Tanfoglio Expert is a new project dedicated to shops and distributors of Tanfoglio products that want to offer their customers an high qualified assistance.
Being a Tanfoglio Expert point means: attending a training course, divided into several levels of preparation, at the headquarters of the company, that allows to acquire knowledge and practical skills in maintenance and intervention on Tanfoglio products; getting in the store a gunsmith kit to guarantee  guns immediate assistance to customers and getting spare parts and accessories to ensure direct replacements or customization of weapons.

The SPORT & COMPETITION pistols line is the largest range of sport pistols available on the international market and allows to whom wants to practice sport shooting activities to make the optimal choice, offering different models suitable to the needs of everyone, always ensuring an high quality shooting experience.
From the end of ‘80s Fratelli Tanfoglio company commits its technical resources, in cooperation with the shooters of the Tanfoglio Teams worldwide, to guarantee quality, ergonomics, safety and high performances of its products dedicated to sport and to competition shooting.

SPORT & COMPETITION STEEL regroups all Tanfoglio sport pistols that have the frame made in steel, which are the main choice and the landmark of fans and shooters: Domina is the evolution of the well known Gold Custom model, Limited Custom has a new configuration both aesthetic and functional, Stock serie grows with the new basic model Stock I, Xtreme models change look but keep the winning mood with which it was born.
SPORT & COMPETITION POLYMER line enriches and completes the Tanfoglio sport pistol range.
It comprehends semiautomatic sport weapons with handle made in special plastic material, highly resistant to heat and shock, light and ergonomics.
The use of Tanfoglio techno-polymer at the beginning was dedicated to weapons for personal and professional defence that required lightness and comfort for the port, then it has been used on sport pistols, allowing the creation of new and innovative models.
Accuracy, reliability, high level performance, durability merge with versatility, lightness, easy which are typical of polymer: in this way the new polymer versions of Stock III and Limited Custom were born, with plastic frame and interchangeable grips.
The POLYMER serie includes Force 22 L, semiautomatic pistol in ..22LR that is preparatory for sport shooting activity and the Bullpup semiautomatic rifle Appeal.

Witness 1911 model is a single action semiautomatic pistol built entirely of steel, similar to the known 1911 A1., with a single action trigger, a "cocked and locked" safety. The standard equipment includes: blue finish, trigger and hammer are lightened.

Witness 1911 P model has a polymer frame and is an innovative variant of the traditional model, which is built entirely of steel,: the weapon is lighter, more aesthetically gritty, the frame has the picatinny base for the fast and easy assembly of tactical lights and/or laser device.

Witness 1911 model is available also in Sport version made for target shooting and I.P.S.C. -  Standard Division - and I.D.P.A. competitions: it has an ambidextrous safety, an extended slide stop lever, wooden checkered grips and fully adjustable rear SuperSight.
