Foundation LDR Rifle

The Foundation Long Distance Ready Rifle is a purpose-built rifle with long distance in mind. The Foundation LDR utilizes the Foundation chassis allowing for modularity and adjustability to fine tune your set up. Length of pull, cheek height adjustment, optional forend lengths and the ability to fix or fold the stock allow the end user to customize further.

The Foundation rifle also utilizes the brand new Fusion Receiver System. Moving away from the traditional v block design, Grey Birch has developed a threaded receiver and barrel system with the goal of increasing the accuracy and consistency of accuracy in the semi auto platform. The LDR with an integrated 20 MOA rail will help users push the boundaries of the 22LR and its distance capabilities. The Foundation LDR Rifle is compatible with most factory Ruger 10/22 ™ parts.

We’ve all put a little weight on during the pandemic, and the LDR is no different. If you're one of those guys that wants a little more weight, or a different balance point than the carbon offers, this is the model for you.

Foundation

The Foundation is literally the cornerstone of Grey Birch, the company, the solid ground on which we will build our house. The end goal in building the Foundation has always been a lightweight, modular, adjustable and secure base to firmly house the barreled action in place from two locations. Everything builds off a firm Foundation.

The Foundation is a modular chassis system built around the 10/22® platform. The Foundation is packed with features to enhance the shooting experience with configurations ranging from short range race gun to long range precision.

Precision Bolt

When we designed our 10/22® pattern bolt assembly, we did so with three objectives. The first was to tighten and control head space to .002, which significantly improves accuracy and consistency of accuracy. The second was to improve the external coating, resulting in increased reliability and extended bolt life by resisting corrosion. And last but not least, making assembly and disassembly easier.

Are you a staunch hater of these new aged, futuristic looking, plastic wearing rifles on the market today?

Or…have you foolishly thought, "I don't care about ultra-light, high tech polymers...feels like cheap plastic to me... real guns are made of wood and steel!" 

Either way, your sentiments can certainly be forgiven as we now have an option for both sides. 

In collaboration with world class Canadian stock maker Rifles Refined, we are pleased to be offering select wood furniture sets for the Foundation Chassis (All Models)

Each furniture set contains a Rifles Refined Facet Grip, Cheek Rest, and Butt-plate made from premium quality Turkish walnut. 

All three pieces in a set are cut from one solid block of Turkish walnut to ensure matching grain pattern and colour. Kits are hand-rubbed with an oil finish to a rich gloss.
