The .270 Winchester has been around nearly a century and has become just as popular as its parent cartridge, the .30-06. Chambered by almost every major firearm manufacturer with a hunting rifle in their lineup, the 270 Winchester has made quite a name for itself as a big game caliber in North America. In fact, it was a favorite cartridge of Starline Brass founder Frank Snow. It also acts a great varmint caliber when loaded with the lighter 90-110 grain bullets that are available.
