CEB Target Carrier
Meggitt Training Systems’ CEB Target Carrier is a fixed speed, electric trolley wire target system. Controlled by the individual shooter, the forward and return target transport is regulated with a shooting stall mounted control switch. In the absence of a shooting stall, Meggitt can utilize the CEA Target Retrieval System, positioning the control switch into the base of the target system’s drive unit. With both the CEB and CEA systems, intermediate target stops are manually set by disengaging the control switch during target transport. The CEE and CEB target carriers offer the stability of a track system and the simplicity of a non-turning target carrier in an economical design. These fixed speed, electrically powered trolley wire target systems are operated manually via a forward-stop-return control switch located at the firing line. Other features included in the CEB Trolley Wire Target Carrier include:
•Shooters are afforded independent control of their lane through the E4P individual target control unit, located at each firing position.
•Maximum achievable target distance with trolley wire systems is 25 meters.
•A variety of target holders are available.
Meggitt Training Systems offers a full array of target carriers for your shooting range. From the basic target retriever to a wireless target carrier, Meggitt can meet your requirements.
GranTrap Rubber Bullet Trap
GranTrap™ Rubber Bullet Trap
GranTrap™ represents the best available bullet trap design technology for bullet capture and containment. Our patented stair-step design utilizes granulate rubber material to stop incoming rounds. The bullet impacts the soft media and is captured predominately intact, minimizing airborne lead dust, averting backsplatter and ricochet, and minimizing impact noise. This provides a cleaner and safer environment for shooting ranges, and maximizes bullet recovery and recycling processes. The GranTrap product line includes reclining GranTrap, capped berm GranTrap, GranTrap test trap, and the Safe-N-Clear™ clearing trap for handguns or rifles.
•Engineered with Meggitt’s patented 10 gauge steel stepped bed plates, allowing for greater volume of GranTex™ media within the primary impact areas. This provides maximum round collection and allows GranTex to remain in place.
•Safety bin area with heavy-duty conveyor belt material captures trap-throat shots which are not high enough to impact the overtrap plate.
•Safely captures rounds in the event of accidental depletion of upper bin area due to improper GranTex media maintenance.
•Upper bin refill area also acts as a gravity fed hopper to ensure GranTex media remains compacted and trap remains full.
•Constructed with rigid tubular steel support stanchions, the trap footprint is only 12’6”, minimizing building construction costs.
•3/8” AR500 overtrap plate provides additional ballistic coverage, functions as a trap frontal refill bin area, and redirects high errant rounds downwards towards the trap.
•This plate also provides additional protection for exhaust ductwork, electrical conduits, sprinkler systems, etc.
•GranTex media has minimal belting and cording material for reduced risk of flash points and is engineered to meet size requirements for maximum round containment.
Multi-Function Stationary Infantry Target System (MF-SIT)
Meggitt Training Systems Multi-Function Stationary Infantry Target System (MF-SIT) exposes and conceals a Figure 11, 12, US Army standard E, F or 3-D target. Quick-connect hardware allows the target head to be easily interchanged in various presentations, including Pop-Up target movement, Swing Out, Slice, Vertically Rise and Pop-Up Turning/Judgmental target actions.
The MF-SIT has the unique ability to expose from multiple angles with a friend-or-foe target. Movements are precise, dynamic and respond quickly to commands of expose, conceal, slice and turn in any combination. In addition, the MF-SIT will rotate a regulation infantry target through 360 degrees at multiple angles. It can respond to hits; its automatic triggers activated by soldier movements or a pre-programmed scenario. This ensures that trainees do not anticipate target actions, which provides a realistic environment for MOUT and specialized training.
The MF-SIT is also available with a double target arm to present multiple targets simultaneously. An embedded hit sensor in the MF-SIT target head responds to a range of munitions, with hit sensitivity remotely set from the range controller, consistent with the ammunition type being fired.
The MF-SIT can be operated via radio frequency, hardwire or Ethernet controls and can operate as a master target or slave target with up to 100 individual units assigned to a group. The target group can be commanded to respond in unison, so a hit on one target can cause all targets to fall or respond as otherwise commanded. Each target within a group also retains its own unique address and is capable of reacting to commands individually. No cabling is necessary to interconnect target mechanisms in the master/slave configuration. To enhance realism, the MF-SIT will initiate simulators such as muzzle flash, sound effects and MILES® Laser Target Interface (LTID) and can power and control thermal targets/heat pads.
Reliable and rugged, Meggitt Training Systems small arms targets perform in the harshest climates. They contain no hydraulic fluids, contaminants or hazardous toxins. With more than 33,000 infantry targets fielded, Meggitt’s systems adapt to different range environments, infrastructures and operational constraints in supporting skills qualifications training and more complex collective training events.
XWT GEN4 Wireless Target Carrier
Meggitt Training Systems offers the XWT GEN4 wireless, 360º turning target retrieval system to meet the need for efficient, reliable and user-friendly training systems. The carrier uses a Lithium Ion battery with a positive locking battery connection and ergonomic battery placement/ replacement, providing a 50% increase in battery capacity. The new charging/docking system improves contact design for faster and more reliable charging. That means more time using the XWT GEN4 on your range, and less time charging it. Programmable distraction lighting now integrates red, blue and white LED target lighting with four times the brightness of previous models. The chassis features a new side cover design for wheel overhead protection and the prevention of brass drivetrain damage. The anti-static wheels eliminate the need for grounding hardware and reduces ESD challenges.
Meggitt’s XWT GEN4 moves along a rail system, powered by an internal direct drive, dual motor system, with anti-static wheels for quieter, smoother operation. Easily programmable through a wireless controller for uncomplicated intuitive screen operation, its unique closed track design provides smooth target transportation and does not collect lead fragments, casings and other debris. The basic and advanced user interfaces support the operator’s preferred courses of fire, whether basic qualifications or more advanced reactive and decision making shooting exercises, and includes a 3/8” AR500 Front Armor Plate Prow.
The quiet, smooth, low maintenance XWT GEN4 wireless carrier is easily operated and programmable, essential for successful training and usability.
The XWT ProImage is a compact video projector and camera system that attaches to Meggitt’s XWT target carrier, providing image and video targets for indoor shooting ranges. Wirelessly connected to a 10” lane control unit mounted to the shooting stall, the system projects digital videos and images that a shooter can upload onto white paper or cardboard targets. The onboard camera provides a streaming, close-up view of the target for instantaneous feedback.
The XWT ProImage is a simple addition to any XWT GEN3 or GEN4, uses lithium batteries, and with the XWT, it docks and charges while in operation. While the XWT ProImage batteries charge in place, they are also hot-swappable for high-volume use. The system also features:
• Real time views of the downrange target image from the shooter’s display, allowing instant shooter feedback without the need to retrieve targets
•Automatic marking of shot locations on images
•Tracking of new shots vs previous shots
•Manual marking of shots on moving targets and images
•Ability to author custom range targets
•Ability to zero at long distances and receive instant feedback without retrieving the target
•No need to stock an assortment of printed targets
•Enables premium-lane differentiation
The flexibility of the XWT ProImage means a shooter can take a photo or movie on their cell phone and engage the target the same day. This ground-breaking system provides endless possibilities for target training. Whatever the scenario, image or target you envision, you can create and train on it.
