Precision from the watchmaking city of Biel
Owner Michael Bach and cutler Timo Müller take the art of knifemaking to a new level. The sknife pocket knife made of surgical steel, high-tech ceramics and components from the watch industry has only one thing in common with all conventional pocket knives: it cuts. Even opening the pocket knife is a sensation; thanks to the worldwide unique sliding bearing made of high-tech ceramics, the knife can be opened very easily like the movement of a watch.
As soon as the blade becomes visible, the surgical steel with its 4 times higher corrosion resistance appears. Precision manufacturing combined with handcrafted finishing with more than 40 work steps - in the sknife knife manufactory. Reach for the moon: in order to ensure the longevity of the product, only regional stabilized wood is used for the handles. A process developed by the passionate engineer Michael Bach together with the «Höhere Fachschule Holz Biel».
And not enough of perfection: for knife collectors there is still the luxury version in damask. Both the blade and the back of the knife are made of damask steel; both have this unmistakable, typical damask pattern.
