Matador was created by EDgun in 2004 in that recognizable design, which became a pattern to follow for many manufacturers of PCR pneumatics in the world and stimulated the development of similar airgun layout.
During its production Matador was improved and totally redesigned many times on its way to become even better and more reliable. The current version R5M is no exception.
In fact, it is a completely new rifle due to the combination of new technological solutions and not just an improved previous version. It was decided to keep the former name for the new rifle, Matador, as a sign of gratitude to the honored leader.
