The typical features of the Alpinist are the smoothly adjustable cheek piece and a fore-end bipod adapter. The cheek piece, cut out of the stock, is attached to two telescopic rods fixed in the best position with recessed socket screws (optionally knurled screws). Adjusted once, this synthetic stock fits like a glove. It is not only useful when shooting, but also during long phases of observation lying on the ground in the mountains. The cheek piece provides support and allows for relaxed observation before taking the shot. What's good with many sporting shooters can be a bargain for hunters: The adjustable cheek piece was developed for the quickest possible reproducible firing position and its good support increases accuracy even during long-distance shots. In the basic variant, the Alpinist features the reliable Explorer synthetic stock with its soft, seamless outer surface and special recoil-dampening characteristics. Optionally, this stock, and all other synthetic stocks, are available with slate-brown camouflage in a Realtree effect. This Helix, weighing only roughly 3 kg, features a speciality for mountain hunting: a built-in bipod adapter on the fibreglass-reinforced synthetic fore-end. It is compatible with all common bipod brands: By using such accessories the hunter can create a stable rest in all terrains.
