Teema Line ltd. was established in 1984 and is one of the leading producers and developers of shooting equipment in the world. Our shooting jackets and pants are all made in our factory in Finland, from high quality materials and carry the brand name of Kurt Thune. We also carry other sport shooting equipment like gloves and boots in our extensive Kurt Thune range of products.
We produce all our shooting jackets and pants ourselves, from beginning to the end, at our factory located in the southern Finland and the factory employs 14 people in total. 92% of the products manufactured here are exported and we have dealers in over 50 countries all over the world.
Our products were strongly represented at the Rio 2016 Olympics, where 4 out of 5 possible Gold Medals in the rifle shooting were won while wearing our KT brand jackets and pants.
Most of our jackets and pants are tailor-made, according to the customer’s own measurements and our tailors train the dealers to take measurements. We also offer a fit warranty for all out MTM (Made to measure) products.
We continuously do work towards product development to guarantee that we offer the best products for our customers. All new products from gloves to boots and jackets are tested together with our team of experienced top shooters, including Olympic Gold Medallist Barbara Engleder, GER, Olympic Silver Medallist Sergey Kaminsky, RUS, Michel Janker, GER, Jennifer and Seonaid McIntosh and Ken Parr, GBR, Andrea Arsovic SRB and several others.
The main material in our products is cotton; others include polypropylene, polyester, PVC and leather. All the materials are tested and quality checked regularly. Our fabric- and leather distributors follow the certified ISO-quality and environmental management system.
Companies working in the textile and clothing industry are required to do their share in reducing the environmental impact of waste and support sustainable development. The goal is a rational use of resources, prevent and combat waste, inconvenience and danger to health and the environment.
Here at Teema Line Ltd. we follow a recycling and waste plan made for us by Tampere University of Applied Sciences textile and environmental student Katri Koskivuo. It introduced new plans for waste disposal and recycling, making ours more resource-efficient as well as cost-effective waste sorting system.
Waste from the production consists mainly of textile materials, pattern paper and different stages of logistics. The textile materials are sorted and all possible ones are now donated to companies and designers making new products out of recycled materials (for example Globe Hope Ltd). This way some of the textiles are utilized as a material, which is the recommended way and only then the rest used for energy. This means the materials are burned, in which process the energy is released and is used as heat energy.
