The most well-known medieval armor, made of steel or iron plates, joined together with hooks, nuts and nails fastened to the warrior by belts and buckles, began to be used in Europe, both in infantry and equestrian, in the 14th century and it reached all perfection at the end of the XV century, transforming itself in the middle of the 16th century into a gala dress for the warrior, adorned and embellished with the finest of sculptural art and metal industries. It declined markedly in the seventeenth century as firearms were perfected and since the 18th century it is no longer used but as an incomparable ornament of castles, palaces, museums, and any place that wants to incorporate a beautiful historical memory into its rooms. .

One of the richest and largest armor collections in the world is preserved in the Royal Armory of Madrid, and contains pieces mainly from the 16th century, period of Charles I, from where Marto takes his inspiration reproducing them in different sizes or scales, the materials used are very similar to the original ones: iron and steel molded by hand, brocades imitating the fabrics of that time, and wooden bases. Also we give a finish to the metal as an "old patina" that protects it from external oxidation.

Replica of Medieval Armor, natural size, with articulated pieces. It comes with base.
