The principle of the SEM Suhler Retro-Snap-On-Mount, on which the ZPE Ziegler Retro-Snap-On-Mount is based, is a typical example of a truly important invention. This invention, which has been in use for many, many years, has its origins in the Suhler Retro-Snap-On-Mount designed initially for the military to facilitate fast response with improved accuracy. Over the decades of the last century it has also proven itself in the private sector to be one of the best and most enduring inventions of all time.
Modern state-of-the-art technology standards were therefore almost predestined to contribute to the onward development of the conventional SEM. This with the aim of retaining the very good basic constructional features of the SEM but to alter the geometrics of the component parts, so fundamentally, that the mounting of a telescopic sight could be simplified, mounting errors avoided, the positive features retained and the cost significantly reduced.
As a result of the exceedingly successful onward development, ZPE achieved a level of outstanding quality. In comparison with the SEM System, the ZPE System introduced revolutionary and maybe even breakthrough improvements. It is no coincidence that ZPE was awarded four worldwide valid patents, which from the technical viewpoint demonstrated a unique mount with a so-called pre-tensioning feature. The System is deemed by connoisseurs to be the best telescopic sight mount.
We can of course not only fit modern optics with ease to current rifles but also older models can be adapted to accept the ZPE mount and with relatively little cost. We believe that the advantages of the ZP Mounts should be available on all sporting arms, including those of low cost, for the humane dispatch of the Game we hunt.
In view of the laborious research and development work expended, whereby no effort was spared until even the smallest decisive detailed characteristic, such as the so-called setting shot, was eliminated (the necessity to fire a single shot after mounting the scope to bed it in). The user can confidently depend on the precision of this mount, no matter what telescopic sight is mounted, whether it be it the driven hunt scope or something replacing it more suited for the high seat in the evening, the zero always remains 100% the same.
The ZP Mount is even shock-resistant to small unavoidable incidents such as the inadvertent falling over of a scope-mounted gun.
Last but not least, the user is entitled to expect the greatest possible precision and ease of use from the finished combination of Sporting firearm, ZPE Mount and Telescopic Sight.
