With the StG44 P.A.K. German Sport Guns (GSG) is launching the first assault rifle on the market, which only shoots blank cartridges. So now, there is now another classic weapon of the past century available as a replica. The rimfire-version was a great success since its appearance in 2012.
The rifle is unique: In Germany, there are many pistols and some revolvers in the caliber P.A.K., but no rifles. To give the new StG44 from GSG the appearance of an aged weapon, the metal parts used in the zinc die-casting process were first subjected to a rotary treatment and then got a black-oxide finish. The manufacturing process entails that, for example, weld seams, screws or rivets in the GSG StG44 are merely dummy. Such details do not make much sense for a replica, but for the sake of appearance, they are also represented.
With the StG44, the fun factor when shooting is very high. It is also nice that the manufacturer attaches a load aid to the set - with a 25-shot magazine, it is getting harder to push the cartridges into the container. GSG guarantee the perfect functioning of their weapons with any steel cartridges.
