German Sport Guns (GSG) is now presenting a replica of the machine gun MP40 - in the caliber of 9 mm. Not only the friends of authentic replicas of historical weapons, but also the friends of guns for sport will be delighted.
In the past century the MP40 was a popular weapon for soldiers worldwide. The new MP40 in the caliber 9 mm Para was built using a tin-die-casting process. Therefore, some characteristics of the original weapon, which have no real meaning for the new version, have been injected because of the true-to-original appearance.
The system of the MP40 from GSG has a closed bolt. For the rifle there is a ten-shot magazine available, that could actually take 32 shots, but was limited for reasons of law in germany. Five front sights are included in the package, which can be placed after loosening the mouth screw. This also reveals the 13x1 thread. There is also a practical loading aid for the magazine. An additional rail is provided, if the owner wishes to take the rear sight from the weapon and use a scope or an optoelectronic device.
