The DVC Open is designed around the concept of Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas, the motto of I.P.S.C meaning Accuracy, Power, Speed. The entirely new design is based off of the tried and true 2011 and this model is built specifically for open division shooting. An all new sear design breaks like glass at a clean #2-#2.5. The compensator has been redesigned using high-speed video footage of some of the best shooters and custom compensators in the world to minimize muzzle jump and felt recoil. Weight has been removed from the slide both at the front and the rear. This helps keep the gun balanced and reduces forward recoil. The 5” precision fit bull barrel and Trubor style integrated compensator have been coated with Titanium Nitride for the best hardness, lubricity and longevity of the barrel. The grip has been hand textured, reduced and undercut by Extreme Shooters in Havasu City, Arizona. All steel parts have been hard chromed for maximum durability in all situations. The slide-racker is entirely new and has been designed to be ambidextrous so it can be on either side of the pistol. The guide rod is a Dawson Precision tool-less and the DVC is the first factory gun to employ this innovation. Another first for STI is that the DVC comes with 2 each 140mm magazines. Topped off with a 6MOA C-More Sight the DVC is the perfect gun for Open Division competition. It is available in either .38 Super or 9mm (tuned for major power factor). MSRP is $3,699.
