Competencies in aerospace, security and defence
RUAG possesses outstanding technological capabilities in aerospace as well as security and defence.
In 2014 RUAG generated net sales of CHF 1781 million, of which 63% was earned outside the Swiss home market.
The civil and military sectors are closely bound up with each other at RUAG.
The links between the two sectors are a source of valuable synergies. Nowadays new directions in technology,
such as realistic visualization in virtual Simulators and telecommunications technologies, arise primarily in the civil domain.
But a dual-track strategy ensures that military customers also reap the benefits in great measure.
Since know-how and maintaining capabilities are key factors in RUAG’s work, it invests roughly 8 % of sales in research and development.
This will allow it to continue meeting the demands of its customers and partners into the future.
RUAG is closely integrated with the following international technology partners, among others:
Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault, European Space Agency (ESA), Hilti, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, Rheinmetall and Saab.
