The model SCRATCH BROWN is made of water repellent cut-resistant leather with THINSULATE™ B200 that provides a great thermal insulation of the foot. The special antiabrasion material covering the leather protects the footwear against accidental impacts with rocks underbrush.
The COFRA-TEX membrane guarantees waterproofness and superb breathability. The sock-shaped membrane, with Waterprotech construction system, totally wrapping the foot, directly stitched in the internal part of the upper, makes the footwear totally waterproof, preventing water leaking both sideways and from the plantar area. Water does not penetrate into the footwear but the vapour molecules evaporate through the membrane keeping the foot dry. The footwear is tested with a walking test into water for 72 h.
Scratch Brown has got an antitorsion system preventing torsion during walking and improper heel movements.
The midsole, light and comfortable, absorbs shock impact. The rubber outsole grants a high grip and resistance to wear and tear; cleats position and diamond texture of the surface guarantee an excellent grip in traction and in braking. Heel dimensions, greater than other soles, make the footwear more stable even on the most uneven surfaces. The wide front of the heel ensures greater balance on broken grounds. The grooves make the bottom of the outsole self-cleaning.
The insole is made of soft polyurethane. Anatomic, removable, covered with cloth, it absorbs impact energy.
All materials are italian to guarantee quality and durability. It is available in stock from size 40 to 46.

The company was established in 1938 by Ruggiero Cortellino as Cortelgomma.
After the II World War this small workshop produced shoes using the tyres of military trucks for the soles and military uniforms for the uppers. The founder’s passion and enterprise let the small workshop turn into a company in few years, producing hundreds of pairs per day, distributed all over Italy.
In 1983 the company became Cofra which is now managed by Giuseppe Cortellino, Ruggiero’s son. Cofra keeps on growing thanks to a wise and innovative management, which has led it to become a leader in the footwear market.
CofraMove collection, including trekking, outdoor and leisure footwear, conceived for reliability, comfort and care for details, the main features of all Cofra products, is the result of our expertise and masterly tradition.
