Image processing and Illumination for inspection of casing or cartridge head.Head inspection involves a CCD vision system with high speed shutter rate that allows for enhanced image processing via Mectron's software package. This provides opitcal chartacter recognition for numbers, letters and pattern matching for primer pocket and flash hole detection.
Image processing and radial illumination of casing or cartridge.
Casing or cartridge inspection is accomplished by a conveyor system in conjunction with a drive roller to traverse the part through the inspection area while simotaneousley rotating the part to enable full 360 degree coverage of the inspection process. An LED light source provide a radial configuration for the illumination of the casing or cartridge. A camera with a GPU provide high through-put surface quality information for the dtection of dents, scratches, corrosion, slits, crooked point, blunt point, folds, wrinkles, bulges and various other defects.
